I had the pleasure the other day with my family to be out at the Lake Macquarie Christmas Twilight Markets last week. This is the first of what I hope to be doing more with Social Step – getting local around Newcastle, the Hunter and the Central Coast.

Customers lining up for some fresh juice.

Markets are great places to see growing and established businesses thriving so it was great to try this new blog format out with a few snaps.

There were big crowds out now that the fear of Covid-19 (and many of the restrictions) has been wound back.

As I said, this is a new type of post for me and I am looking forward to heading out to more local places. Unfortunately, we saw not long after we left that the market was hammered by a particularly nasty storm, but it’s great that apparently shoppers stayed and helped out store holders with the cleanup.

That’s all for this week’s local post with local people, businesses and places. If you have a cool place you think we should check out around Newcastle then please get in touch!

All the best to all of you and may you all have an amazing Christmas and New Year.
